Our Story

Ecofrontiers International (EFI) was incorporated in Ghana in May 2017 as a local Non-governmental organization engaged in improving environmental ecosystems and livelihood of individuals and communities through technical training and advocacy. We engage communities, policy makers and civil society on activities that aim to protect the environment and improve the economic well being of community members. Our key objectives are:

  • To offer training in environmental resources management and restoration and empower communities especially rural women.
  • To engage in sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural production
  • To network with like-minded organization to develop projects and activities that seek to eliminate poverty in deprived farming communities.

Highlights/Accomplishments:

  • EFI collaborated with the Forestry Commission of Ghana in planting over 1,500 trees in three (3) communities and eighteen (18) schools within the Eastern and Greater Accra regions of Ghana.
  • EFI also trained a minimum of 3,000 cocoa farmers in 2019 have been in climate smart agriculture for improved yield in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
  • In 2019, EFI partnered Kachel Company Limited to train 317 street hawkers in soap making and animal rearing in Accra.
  • In 2018, the first collaboration with Kachel Company Ltd. was formed to give counselling to 65 senior high school students from some selected schools in Accra.
